Why trust us

The equipment we bet our own business on.

Jack Knife is the house brand of a six-studio South African reformer group. Before a machine ever reaches your floor, its design has survived hundreds of commercial classes a week on ours — springs, ropes, carriages, all of it.

That's also why the promise is simple: installed and teaching-ready by your agreed launch date, warranty backed, spares held locally, instructor familiarisation available through our training team.

Want proof you can stand on? Visit any of our studios and train on the exact equipment you're buying.

How it works

Three steps to open day.

1 · Walk-through

Send your floor plan or a phone video of the space. We design the layout and quote your fit-out — no charge.

2 · Reserve your slot

We schedule a limited number of fit-outs per quarter. Your deposit secures the slot and starts your order.

3 · Open

We deliver, assemble and hand over class-ready on the agreed date. You teach; the studio starts paying for itself.

The Studio Space Guide

Everything nobody tells you before you sign a lease — from the people who've opened six studios:

  • How many m² you really need per reformer (with layouts for 6, 8, 10 and 12 stations)
  • Ceilings, pillars, flooring and the acoustics mistakes that make studios sound like squash courts
  • The small stuff studios forget: storage, water points, aircon, music, spring maintenance
  • A simple studio money model — rent, stations, class price and fill rate to breakeven

“Is 74m² enough for eight reformers?”

Yes — if the pillars co-operate. The guide shows you exactly how to check before you sign anything.
